無電極ランプ、つまりマイクロ波ランプは、外部のマイクロ波放射によってランプ内の要素を加熱し、強力な蛍光を発することで動作し、これらのランプに充填されている要素を変えることで、特定の用途に合わせて多数の異なるスペクトルを実現できます。印刷、医療、半導体業界で使用されています。
Electrodeless lamps, or microwave lamps, work by having external microwave radiation heat up the elements inside the lamp to intensely fluoresce. By varying what elements these lamps are filled with, you can achieve a multitude of different spectra for specific applications. These lamps are commonly used in the printing, medical, and semiconductor industries.
